Hi my name is Sita and I am an aspiring 2D animator who hopes to work in the television industry. I knew from a young age that I wanted to pursue something involving creativity and to share my work with other people. After many years and cartoon shows playing in the background of my basement, I discovered that the path I wanted to pursue was in television animation.
Growing up, I took a variety of art and STEM classes all throughout elementary school, middle school, and high school. However, I did not begin to seriously pursue the arts until I took some summer art classes at both Millersville University in Millersville, Pennsylvania and at the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster Pennsylvania in 2015. Since then, I have dedicated much of my time to improving my craft both in art and in animation.
From 2018-2019 I did my first freelance animated work for a film production company owned by one of my friends back in my hometown in the heart of Indiana. Later, I did a marketing internship from 2020-2021 for the Saginaw Art Museum in Saginaw, Michigan. In the museum, I was able to utilize my artistic skills and my research skills by helping create pamphlets for the museum.
Starting in the summer of 2020, I began to take online classes at the Savannah College of Art and Design in concurrence with my classes at my high school in Michigan. As of September 2021, I am a full-time student at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia in the 2D Animation program.
I am proficient in the 2D animation software Toon Boom Harmony and a variety of traditional and digital mediums of art such as colored pencils, pen and ink, and digital painting. I am also well-versed with digital programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Medibang.
Besides art and animation, I also enjoy creative writing, video editing, exercising, and spending time with my pets.
I helped create pamphlets for the museum and did some organizational and research work.
